Erin
Lang Bonin, PhD, CPC
Erin Lang Bonin joined Eli Healthcare
and The Coding Institute in 1999, where she has written
or edited more than 40 publications on health care
compliance, reimbursement and coding. Previously,
she taught scientific and medical research writing
at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,
where she earned her PhD. Erin has also worked in
the back office at a cardiology practice and a psychiatry
practice, and she earned her CPC from the American
Academy of Professional Coders in 2003.
Chris
Owens, CPC
Chris Owens has been with Eli Healthcare
and The Coding Institute since October 1999 and has
written several specialty-specific coding education
newsletters during that time. He currently oversees
more than 20 coding publications and obtained his
CPC certification from the American Academy of Professional
Coders in 2003, serving as a member of the organization's
National Advisory Board from 2005-2007. Previously,
he covered medical issues on Capitol Hill for a Washington,
D.C.- based newsletter publisher.
Deborah
Dorton, JD, MA, CPC
Deborah Dorton has been with Eli Healthcare
and The Coding Institute since August 2004 and has
written several coding and practice management newsletters,
including Radiology Coding Alert, Oncology Coding
Alert, and Audiology Coding and Billing Alert. She
received her CPC from the American Academy of Professional
Coders in 2004. A graduate of Harvard University,
Deborah holds a JD and Master's degree from Duke University.
Charles
Kupperman, MA
Charles Kupperman has been a staff
reporter for the Asian Wall Street Journal and covered
the health care beat for the Triangle Business Journal.
Charles joined Eli Healthcare and The Coding Institute
in February 1997 and has been covering Medicare Part
B reimbursement issues ever since.
